No Gaskets or other hoses / hardware included 【Product Description】All exhaust systems of this product are designed with simple drilling and welding techniques. This system is specifically engineered to achieve the best crankcase exhaust performance in all high-performance and diesel applications. It is suitable for 5/8 inch hoses. 【installation guide】 1.--- Location is Everything--- Ideal Spot: Weld the bung onto a long, straight section of the exhaust pipe, as close to the engine's exhaust headers/downpipe as possible. This is where exhaust gas flow is fastest and most turbulent, generating the strongest vacuum. Minimum Distance: Ensure the installation point is at least 6-12 inches (15-30 cm) away from any bends, catalytic converters, mufflers, or changes in pipe diameter. Avoid areas where exhaust flow is disrupted. 2.---Orientation is Key---The nipple (vent port) MUST face directly into the oncoming exhaust flow (i.e., toward the engine/front of the vehicle). This is critical for the Venturi effect to work. Incorrect orientation (facing toward the rear) will result in exhaust gas being blown into the vacuum line instead of creating suction. 3.--- Ensure Weld Integrity---When welding, take care to prevent weld slag or material from obstructing the internal passage of the bung. A partially or fully clogged passage will prevent vacuum generation. 4.---Check for System Leaks---After installation, ensure all connections between the scavenger bung, your catch can, and the engine are completely airtight. Any leaks in the vacuum lines will compromise performance. 【Installation Time】Approximately 20-30 minutes for a experienced installer. Note: This is a fabrication part. High-temperature thread sealant is recommended for assembling the AN adapter into the bung. Gaskets, additional hoses, and hardware are not included.
